INT 7223 - Enterprise Systems Security
This course explores security policies, models, and mechanics for confidentiality, integrity and availability of information systems and enterprise data. The course will introduce the threats, vulnerabilities, and risks associated with information technology infrastructure and applications. Topics include operating systems models and mechanisms for mandatory and discretionary controls; data models, concepts, and mechanisms for database security; basic cryptography and its applications; security in computer networks and distributed systems; use of hardware and software network security tools; control and prevention of viruses and other malicious programs; and risk management associated with security issues.
